Sitges Weather

With its unique mountain foot position, shielded from cold northern winds by the Garraf Massif, Sitges enjoys something of a microclimate with reasonably mild weather throughout the year and around 300 days of annual sunshine. At the height of summer in July and August, temperatures in Sitges peak at around 27C, whilst the winter months of January and February see lows of around 5C.

With approximately 22mm of anticipated rainfall and 10 hours of daily sunshine, July is both the driest and sunniest month of the year – the perfect time to book a beach holiday in Sitges. With precipitation of approximately 94mm expected to fall over the course of 10 days, October is the rainiest month of the year.

The sea temperature off the coast of Sitges peaks in August when the waters reach a highly inviting 25C. The Mediterranean is at its coldest from January through to April with temperatures averaging a much chillier 14C.

The weather in Sitges is typically Mediterranean with long periods of sunshine and warm temperatures throughout the year. When visiting Sitges during the summer months, visitors should take care to apply sunscreen to protect against prolonged periods of sun exposure.

Sitges does not suffer from high levels of humidity, with air conditions in the summer months generally less sticky than the neighbouring city of Barcelona.
